DESCRIPTION
The Brockman 4 Project involves construction of additional facilities and infrastructure as well as the development of a new mine to expand its overall production rate to 22Mtpa with a potential future throughput expansion to 36Mtpa. NMT were contracted to oversee the logistics management for the train loadout bin modules and various steel works including trusses and platework from ex Chinese factory to end delivery site. Coordination of an additional shipment at short notice was required in conjunction with a delay in the manufacturing output. NMT supervised all areas of cargo preparation with the Chinese factory to ensure the most cost effective packing of cargo met all relevant Australian Customs and Quarantine requirements to allow for a prompt delivery to the mine site.
