DESCRIPTION

NMT Projects were awarded to ship 2 newbuilding Delta Pusher tugs. The 2 tugs weighing 435 mT each, were loaded by ship’s cranes and placed on-deck. Because the tugs were flat-bottomed, we used loadspreaders instead of using cradles. Due to the lifting capacity of ship’s cranes, the tugs were placed within cranes SWL radius, meaning that space was limited and therefore tugs had to be placed next to each other on deck. Eventually after intensive engineering between NMT, the client and carrier, a suitable lifting plan and stowageplan has been put in place.
