DESCRIPTION
NMT Projects was awarded in April, 2011 by our Brazilian customer QUIP S.A. for the collection ex works to delivery in Rio Grande for their new purchased cranes (ttl abt 4000 frtts). Due to the short time between the collection of the cargo ex works and delivery of the cargo in Brazil, it proved to be a real challenge. In close cooperation with our sub-contractors, we were able to arrange the permits for all 35 trucks, including the oversized and heavy pieces within a very short timeframe. Therefore, we were able to meet the vessel’s laycan in Antwerp. Under NMT’s supervision and marine survey, we ensured that all cargo was handled and loaded with care. Upon arrival in Rio Grande, the cranes where offloaded in 2 different ports. The Terex-Demag in the commercial port and the Liebherr offshore cranes at the wharf for the newbuild FPSO. After completion, our customer was impressed that all cargo was delivered within their deadline.
