NMT has been awarded this shipment of 2 reactors of 525 & 165 Tonnes.
The 165 Tonnes reactor was loaded in Porto Marghera and the 525 Tonnes was loaded in Porto Torres by vessel's own 2x 400 Tonnes cranes. Due to the shape of the 525 mTreactor, the assessment of the lifting positions was very difficult.
After intensive engineering between the supplier of the reactors, the carrier and NMT, a successful lifting arrangement suitable for both cargo and vessel's cranes has been put in place.NMT monitored the operations at both loading and discharging ports. |
