Details In July 2021 NMT Projects Nicaragua were contacted by Messrs CMI Santos the civil subcontractor to the US company NEW FORTRESS ENERGY currently involved in the construction of a $700Mn LNG-to-power project located near Puerto Sandino, Nicaragua. 5 Gas tanks were to be positioned over their respective foundation pedestals ( 3,000mm / 3,500mm height) of which 3 units had a weight of 115 metric tonnes, measuring 28,550 x 5,550mm diameter,  in view of the required capacity at 18,000mm distance NMT mobilized the 500 metric tonne capacity Demag / Terex CC-2500.1 crawler crane from their Rivas depot. For other sub-contractors several Transformers up to 100 metric tonnes weight and over-dimensional Control Cabinets measuring 22,500 x 4,670 x 4,300mm were transported from Corinto Port to the NFE sub-station at Puerto Sandino. NMT Projects have a fleet of telescopic cranes ranging from 30 - to 300 metric tonne capacity and Crawler cranes of 500 and 650 metric tonne capacity within the Central American territory available. Heavy transport equipment - such as low loaders extendable platform trailers and modular hydraulic trailer equipment - is permanently based in the region as well.
