Shipment 4 of the Cape Lambert A Dolphin Head Life Extension Project consisted of a 125mt Ship Access Platform (SAP) and various longitudinal walkways. The SAP module required a direct install onto 6 piles with the balance cargoes discharged alongside the Service Wharf. To perform the task, NMT chartered a Department of Fisheries “Vessel Check” and Rightship approved heavy lift vessel which, after considerable pre planning, on the first attempt was able toposition the SAP module directly onto the piles, within tolerance and without issue. |
